Inviso privacy policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

Inviso is an app for viewing electronic invoices and signed documents. It is published by Talha Fakioglu, an independent developer ("we"). Contact: [email protected].

The short version

Your documents

Files you open with Inviso (invoices, P7M and other signed files, PDF, ZIP, e-mails and their attachments) are copied into the app's own storage on your device so that you can open them again later. All reading, checking, signature verification and PDF creation happens on the device. We never receive your documents or their content.

The documents are deleted when you delete them in the app or uninstall it.

Device backups. Your device may include the app's storage, and therefore your documents, in its own backup: iCloud Backup on iPhone and iPad, Google backup on Android. Those backups are made by Apple or Google under your account and their privacy terms, not by us. You can turn them off in your device settings.

Sharing and support e-mails. When you share, export or print a document, or send a file to support, Inviso hands it to the app or service you choose (for example your e-mail app). We only receive what you send to [email protected] yourself.

Purchases (Inviso Pro)

Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive your payment details.

To know whether you have Inviso Pro, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. as our service provider. RevenueCat receives a random identifier that the app creates on first use, the store's record of your purchases and subscriptions (product, price, currency, dates, renewal status), and technical information that every internet connection carries, such as the IP address, the app version, the operating system and the device's language and region. We do not send RevenueCat your name, e-mail address or any document. We use this data to provide Pro, to restore your purchases and to see aggregated sales figures. The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Purchase records are kept for as long as needed for that purpose and for our legal accounting obligations.

VAT number check (VIES)

When the seller and the buyer of an invoice are in different EU countries, Inviso can check a VAT number in VIES, the European Commission's VAT Information Exchange System. The check runs only when you tap "Check in VIES". The app then sends the country code and the VAT number directly from your device to the Commission. Nothing else from the document is sent, and the request does not pass through us. Like every internet connection, the request carries your IP address. The answer (whether the number is valid and, where the country allows it, the registered name and address) is shown on the screen and kept in the app's memory until the end of the day, so that the same number is not checked twice. It is not saved.

VIES is operated by the European Commission on behalf of the tax authorities of the EU Member States, which are the controllers of this processing. According to the VIES privacy statement, the Commission passes the request on to the national tax authority without keeping it, and monitors the use of the service to block abuse: https://taxation-customs.ec.europa.eu/document/download/a6cea373-9e05-45b8-9edb-e122ef35423a_en

KSeF invoices (Poland)

If you choose to connect Inviso to KSeF, the National e-Invoice System of the Polish Ministry of Finance, you enter your company's NIP and a KSeF token that you generated in KSeF. The token is kept only in your device's secure storage (Keychain on iPhone and iPad, Keystore on Android). It does not move to another device with a backup and is deleted when you disconnect.

A download runs only when you start it. The app then signs in to KSeF with the token, encrypted with the Ministry's public key, and downloads the invoices you received directly from KSeF to your device, where they are added to your library like any other document. Nothing passes through us: we never receive the token or the invoices. Like every internet connection, the requests carry your IP address. The Ministry of Finance processes them as the operator of KSeF: https://ksef.podatki.gov.pl

Data we do not collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, browsing history, usage statistics, crash reports or advertising identifiers. Inviso does not track you across apps or websites.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Because we have no accounts, the only personal data we can find is the purchase record linked to the random identifier on your device. Write to [email protected] if you want it deleted; we may ask you for the receipt Apple or Google sent you so that we can find the record.

Children

Inviso is a business tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

We will update this page when the app changes how it handles data, and change the date above.
